Waiting is never easy, and in the times we're living in it can be even harder. But, right here is where we are, and God is here with us. Yes, the world is pulling us in a hundred anxiety-inducing directions, but God has not left us, and when we place our trust in His mighty hands we are still secure.

400 years. That's how long the people of God waited to hear from Him before that deafening silence was broken with a baby's cry. And yet, even while the people of God waited they held on to a fundamental truth. God is working while you wait. Here's the good news, He's still doing it. He's still at work in your life, no matter how long you've been waiting for a miracle. Cling to Him today and believe.

Peter knew it, do you? Do you know that we are all living in the end times? Do you see that now more than ever the world is looking at Christians to see how we will respond to the pressures and pains of these days? If so, it has to change the way you act in four distinct ways: 1. Act is patience. 2. Act with urgency. 3. Act with confidence. 4. Act with Congruency.

Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. This is, without question one of the most anxiety-inducing years any of us have ever lived through. Yet, even in the middle of all 2020 has brought with it, God has a message for each and every one of us:Through His grace, He will restore us and make us strong, firm, and steadfast. We can release what we are concerned about because God is concerned about us.

Today it is imperative that you know WHO you are. God wants to remind you that you are chosen, you are Holy, you are God’s. You have to know who you are, in order to know WHY you are. This is the equation of every believer. You once were not, but now you are. You didn’t, but now you do. You were without, but now you’re with. Because of what God has done, you may now declare His praise.

For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one. Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. Hebrews 10:32-36 Endurance, we need endurance. Here’s the good news. You can have it.

Where is God? It's a valid question and one that no one should feel shame about asking. One of the wonderful attributes of God is that He isn't afraid of our questions. Our searching for God gives Him another chance to put His Glory and His overarching story on display.

What the world needs most today, what our cities and communities need most today, what we all need most today is a spiritual awakening. Here’s the good news. It’s possible. Right now, God is closer to you than you think.

Our anxieties are not too heavy for God — He is there waiting for us to release them.

The power of genetics is happening right before your eyes. You can deny it or try and beat it all you want, but eventually, we all begin to look more and more like our parents. This is the normal outcome of growing older. Here's what is also true; You have the potential to grow up and look like your Heavenly Father. In appearance and attitude, we become what we model ourselves on, and in the same way, we can become versions of our Earthly parents, we can, by the power of the Holy Spirit, become more and more like Jesus.

Every one of us has a family tree. We may or may not love every branch, some may be more complicated than we care to admit, but as we walk through life the limbs of our tree can determine a lot about us.

In part two of our series, Not Forsaken, Pastor Louie Giglio walks us through three truths that God wants us to know about Himself as a father, and us as His children.

Fatherhood matters. It matters to God, and it matters to us. So many of us are growing up fatherless, whether it’s because of illness, absence, or attitude. We carry these wounds with us for the rest of our lives, and even if don’t mean to we attach those same feelings to our relationship with our Heavenly Father. But God is not a reflection of our Earthly father, He is the perfection of him. In this kick-off message to our new series, Not Forsaken, Pastor Louie Giglio reminds us of who we are; loved sons and daughters of a perfect father.

Friday night and Sunday morning. The account of all that happened that weekend adds up to one truth; that when Jesus died, was buried, and rose, people put their faith in Him. Jesus knew that we were both spirit and flesh, and just as our flesh will fade, sin will lead to the death of our spirit. This is why Jesus did what He did. It’s why He gave His life on a cross, why he gave up His last breath, and why early Sunday morning the stone was rolled away from His grave; not so that He could come out, but so that we could come in and see what God had done.

Faced with death, and even worse, separation from His Father for the first time in history, Jesus looked at what was in front of Him and said, “Not my will, but Yours.” Our obedience is measured in the same way. Will we make the same decision Jesus did, will we say to God, “Not my will, but Yours?”

What are you going to decide the next time life places a decision in front of you? Will you say, “yes,” to the right things, and, “no,” to the wrong? Before you were looking for Jesus, He was looking out for you. This week, Pastor Brad Jones reminds us of the story of Zacchaeus, who climbed a tree amongst a crowd just to catch a glimpse of Jesus. As a corrupt tax collector, Zacchaeus was an outsider, someone the people of his town believed would be the absolute last person Jesus would address. No matter how far on the outside we may feel, Jesus is looking to bring us into His family if we just open our eyes to who He really is.

This week, Pastor Louie Giglio wants us to focus in on God’s Wrath and His Mercy. It’s only by fully realizing the one, that we can appreciate in earnest the other. God’s Mercy only makes the impact on our lives that it should when we have a full grasp of His Wrath that was due us until it was poured upon Jesus that day on Calvary answering the prayers of God’s people : LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. Habakkuk 3:2

This week, Pastor Louie Giglio wants us to broaden the lens through which we see our God. After all, in order to have a right view of our lives, we have to have a right view of God. To know that there is a deeper level of spirituality that we have access to because our God is calling us into. His name is Elohim, El Olam, the everlasting and eternal God. He is before all and after all and yet He is in the details of your life, there for every moment. The God you can know knows you, and He loves you.

Pastor Louie Giglio reminds us that we aren’t dealing with a god who is on our level. Our God is seated on a throne high and exalted with all rule and all authority. He is Sovereign. What does this mean for you? This mean He is able; able to do whatever He wants to do, and He can. This means your God is more powerful than the mess you find yourself in; than the circumstances around you; than anything and everything you will encounter. In a chaotic world, your God is sitting high and exalted, able and willing to do what is best for your life because He desires you to be with Him.

God wants to be known by you, and you can know as much about Him as you have the appetite and desire to know. — There is never going to be a moment in your pursuit of God where there's a sign that says, "authorized personnel only beyond this point. You can go as high up on the mountain as you want to go." Our God is The God You Can Know.

Our aim is for people to hear about Jesus. — This week, Pastor Louie Giglio reminds us of our ultimate goal and shows us how no matter the size of our platform the mission is the same. One of the greatest women's basketball player of all time has leveraged her public platform to tell the world about Jesus, and spends her Sundays planted in the body of Christ and leading out in the choir. — So, yes we should strive for excellence in our work, to be distinctive in our passion and dedication, to pay the cost to be consistent; but if all of that doesn't ultimately build a platform on which we tell the world around us about Jesus, then we will never live out our calling to it's end goal.

God desires for us to have margin in our lives financially so that we can live generously and leave a wake of generosity for others. — This week, Pastor Louie Giglio reminds us of the difference between living at the forefront of God’s plans for us versus living reactionarily at the tail.

“Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” Isaiah 6:7 — What have you allowed to DEFINE you? Is it who God says that you are, or is it the memory, the guilt, or the shame of your past mistakes? Many of us walk around daily carrying the chain of shame, preventing us from walking in the freedom that was purchased for us at the Cross. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17 — For a lot of us, the thing that’s keeping us from living fearless and free is that we are chained to the past. The enemy will attempt to use the chain of our past to keep us from fully stepping into the freedom that Jesus is offering. In fact, our past is much more of a weapon to be used to tell the story of who Jesus is, than it is something that we should be ashamed to talk about. The invitation to freedom and empowerment is on the table, let go of the chain of your past and step into it.

In the Kingdom of Jesus, there is only one ranking system, for each of has been created in the very image of God. Yet each of us has forgotten this about someone, or a group of people, at one point or another. The question we have to ask ourselves is; what is my default reaction when I see a person in need when I see someone created in the image of God, in need? — When Jesus died on the cross for us the ranking system of the world was shattered, and we have to let those broken pieces fall from our own hands. When we see a need, as Jesus-followers it must solicit a response.

Pastor Ben Stuart // We all love stories; tales of good and evil, legends of heroes and tragedies of villains. It's why we flood into bookstores and theatres, to escape into stories we believe could never be our own. — But here's the thing, many of us will walk through life without realizing that we are actually a part of the greatest story that has ever unfolded. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus isn't isolated to scriptures and sermons, it's the moment where all of our stories went from hopeless to filled with possibility. — Afterall we are all guilty, separated from God by our sinful nature. A cursory glance around proves to you no matter what your thoughts on God that there is something broken in humanity. But Easter, Easter is the realization of the greatest Hero of all time. A Savior who took on the Cross for each of us; declaring the death of death and the beginning of Life for all who put their faith in Him.

Pastor Louie Giglio // In 1977 Voyager left our atmosphere carrying with it a golden record. Filled with the ambient sounds of Earth, greetings spoken in languages from all over the World, and instructions on how to listen to them was it ever found, this record was our message to the stars. — Four decades later, we have the opportunity to hear a different message, one that has come from significantly further and at a much higher cost. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, God has shown us who He is, He has called us loved, child, and prized. He paid for our sin and shame on the cross and rose again conquering even the grave. — His message is clear. Can you hear it?

Pastor Ben Stuart // Each and every one of us will slip up, make a mistake, chose something other than Jesus. The fundamental question that we have to ask ourselves is; What does God think of me when I fail? Pastor Louie Giglio // All of us have experienced failure. Maybe it was the disappointment of dreams unrealized, or the death of a relationship we thought would last forever. No matter what it was, each of us has felt the sting of something coming to an end and had the thought, “surely this is unredeemable.” — But, there is Good News. — In the economy of God, nothing is unredeemable. Whatever you are walking through, wherever you are, God is saying to you today that it is not final. With Jesus, there is always an, “after this...” You are not alone. God sees you, and His heart is going out to you. This is not the end... — There will be no Funerals today.

Pastor Louie Giglio // Euangellion. Gospel. Good News. — So many of us walk through life with the idea that God is the bearer of bad news. It holds us back from Him, preventing us from even desiring a relationship with the King of the Universe. But here's the truth. Jesus is the Good News. His message of redemption, His very life on this Earth and His sacrifice on our behalf are the greatest news we could ever imagine. Our God, and all of creation, are crying out the message that we are so desperate to hear if we would only listen. — Deliverer of Bad News? No, no, no, our Jesus IS the Good News.

Pastor Louie Giglio // Eventually, we all have to have a Lift-Off moment in our lives. Yes, we need to prepare, to train, to rehearse, but if the lift-off never happens then it’s possible we’ll have wasted our journey around the Sun. — Today can be the day that you say to God that you are ready to do something with Him this year. Today could be the day that you start to repair that relationship, to improve your health, to take an actual step towards joining God in what He is doing in and around us. There is an incredible creator who not only formed the Earth that Shane orbited for six months, but who sacrificed Himself on that very same planet or all of us. With all of the access we have to entertainers, celebrities, and icons via social media, what invitation would seem worth it to interrupt your daily life? Most of us would jump at an opportunity to meet our favorite actor or athlete, and yet we barely give attention to the greatest invitation that has and will ever come across our desk. The God of the Cosmos is inviting you today, not just to know Him (although that alone would be a miracle) but to walk with Him daily. To hear His heart, to learn from His wisdom, to align your life with His vision of it. The invitation is on the table.

Pastor Louie Giglio // We are amazingly small and undeniably significant. Need proof? The sheer size of our sun, an average star in an average galaxy, is evidence enough of our smallness. In comparison, the fact that the One who breathed out that very star chose to give His life on the Cross is overwhelming confirmation that we are significant in the eyes of Almighty God. As we continue our journey around the Sun, we can take comfort in our smallness, in our significance, and in the fact that God has a plan and a purpose for each of us; to worship Him in all of His wonder. Afterall, if the stars were made to worship, then so will we.

Today alone, you will travel over a million miles while screaming through space at 67,000 miles an hour. The question for you is simple; how will you spend this time? Trust in the Shepherd and believe that if something goes wrong, He will still be with you and circumvent whatever went wrong for your good and His glory.

We all have giants in our lives, adversaries or strongholds that diminish our ability to live a full and free life. Frozen in the grip of rejection, fear, anger, comfort or addiction, we lose sight of the promise God has for our lives. Demoralized and defeated, we settle for far less than His best. God has a better plan for you, a plan for you to live in victory. That's why He has silenced your giant once and for all.
