Oswald Chambers (1874–1917) was a Scottish evangelist, teacher, and devotional writer. Trained at Dunoon College and later founder of the Bible Training College in London, he served as a chaplain to British troops in Egypt during World War I. Chambers is best known for his devotional classic My Utmost for His Highest, compiled posthumously by his wife, Biddy Chambers, from his sermons and lectures. His Christ-centered teaching emphasized wholehearted devotion, spiritual discipline, and practical holiness, leaving a lasting impact on evangelical spirituality.
