When we approach Scripture, we must not let modern skepticism or personal comfort dictate our interpretation. If Jesus and the Apostles viewed Jonah and the Flood as literal historical events, who are we to disagree? To align ourselves with Christ is to accept the Bible on its own terms, recognizing that the historical reality of these events undergirds the very sign of our Lord's resurrection. True faith submits to the authority of God's Word, not the changing tides of human opinion.
