Individualism and anonymity are eroding the integrity of pastoral training. When a student can earn a degree without ever being truly known by his teachers, the church suffers. We must return to a model where a man's character is evaluated by faithful shepherds in the context of a local body. True qualification for ministry is not just intellectual; it is moral, spiritual, and communal.
